TOBIN Consulting Engineers has an exciting role open for an experienced Project Engineer to join our company in Galway or Castlebar on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team who are delivering design and project management services on exciting water and wastewater treatment and distribution projects nationwide.
What we are looking for:
The position requires candidates to hold a minimum Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering. Applicants must have 4+ years’ experience in project management and civil engineering (design) preferably with a focus on Water and Wastewater Treatment & Distribution systems. The successful candidate will work within a small team as part of the wider Civil Design Build Water Division and assist in leading designs for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades. Candidates with a Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical background with a experience in the water and wastewater sector will also be considered.
Candidates applying for this position must have the following skills:
• Previous design and project management experience, ideally 4+ years
• Previous experience in the design of civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Experience of working in collaboration with contractors and local authorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint & Project
• Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCad Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
• Experience in the use of REVIT is a distinct advantage.
• Experience in producing and reviewing engineering design plans and contract specifications.
• Experience working to, designing, and implementing designs to Irish Water Standards.
• Experience in the preparation of tender documents
• Experience in preparing design report documents.
• Full driving licence.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
• Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Candidates with a Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical background with experience in the water and wastewater sector will also be considered.
• Designing for Safety in Construction Certified
