TOBIN Consulting Engineers has an exciting role open for an experienced Project Engineer (Civils) to join our company in any of our office locations on a hybrid basis (Galway, Castlebar, Sligo, Limerick or Dublin).
What we are looking for:
The position requires candidates to hold a minimum Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering. Applicants must have 7+ years’ experience in project management and civil engineering (design). The successful candidate will work with the Public Realm and Town Masterplan Team as part of the wider Civil Design Build Water Division and assist in taking projects from stage 1 feasibility right through to stage 5 construction handover.
Candidates applying for this position must have the following skills:
- Previous design and project management experience – 7+ years
- Experience of working in collaboration with other design disciplines, namely; architects, landscape architects and urban designers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint & Project
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS
- Experience in producing and reviewing engineering design plans and contract specifications.
- Experience working to and implementing DMUR’s guidelines.
- Experience in the preparation of tender documents
- Full driving licence.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Project Supervisor Design Process Certified.
- Road Safety Audit Accreditation
- Designing for Safety in Construction Certified
- Previous experience on working on Public Realm Projects and Town Master Plan Projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in Road Design
- Experience in Stormwater Design
