Throughout the years, TOBIN has sponsored many different GAA clubs, from different counties, with considerably different sporting objectives.

TOBIN Consulting Engineers has a long and well established tradition of supporting local, regional and national social and cultural initiatives as part our continued commitment to tangible Corporate Social Responsibility. To date, we have provided this support in a number of specific ways by working on a case-by-case basis from our Galway, Dublin and Castlebar offices. We have actively participated in many different charitable and supportive initiatives, through donations, through sponsorship and indeed through active involvement from within the TOBIN business.

Social Responsibility: Grassroots GAA

As a consulting engineering practice, we deal extensively with the GAA both here in Ireland and in the UK. Some of our more recent projects for the GAA include the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Mayo and the National Games Development Centre at the National Sports Campus in Dublin. Outside of our commercial and professional work with the GAA, we have a number of well established and innovative CSR practices that have substantially improved the operations of a number of GAA communities at a more local level. Throughout the years, we have sponsored many different GAA clubs, from different counties, with considerably different sporting objectives. The crucial and common trait with all of the clubs that we engage with is that they all foster a real and visible commitment to working with their local communities. This is the cornerstone of the GAA and it is something that we wholeheartedly believe in supporting here at TOBIN.

One such club that we have sponsored is the Na Fianna club, based in Co. Offaly, who have enjoyed a very productive couple of months most recently. Na Fianna, based around eight kilometres south of the county town of Tullamore, have recently been crowned U14A Football Champions for the second year in a row. Quite remarkably, they have completed all of their fixtures in Offaly with a 100% winning record in both the league and the championship. This same team also represented Offaly at the National Féile Football Competition held in Cork and Kerry earlier in 2016. We look forward to seeing this particular group continue their growth and development up through the grades and will continue to support this community driven team wherever we can.
