New era beckons for London GAA with the redevelopment of famous Ruislip venue.

This Sunday’s Connacht Senior Football Championship quarter-final game between London and Leitrim marks the official opening of McGovern Park at Ruislip. This infamous home of the ‘Exiles’ based in West London now boasts an impressive new 1,950-seater stand. The redevelopment of this vital amenity for the London-Irish community also includes a redeveloped main pitch, floodlit training area, medical treatment room, dressing rooms, official’s room, meeting rooms and media facilities, together with a new entrance and parking facilities. The redeveloped main pitch is now also on an equal footing with many of the top GAA grounds in Ireland and is in excellent condition ahead of this weekend’s quarter-final clash.
