The National Transport Authority have recently introduced a new initiative aimed at addressing the numerous safety and sustainable transport issues associated with the commute to school. The Safe to School initiative seeks to address these issues through innovative design solutions both in front of the school itself and for students walking or cycling to school.
TOBIN is in a very strong position to deliver on these types of schemes with our wealth of experience in providing design solutions incorporating improvements outside schools such as Gort, Inverin, Moycullen and Stranorlar and our work on several sustainable transport schemes such as recently won Active Travel projects in Donegal, Galway County and Galway City. We have been recently awarded the Galway City Council Safe to School commission and look forward to delivering many more of these type of schemes in the coming years.
