Falling in line with the designation of Galway as the European Region of Gastronomy for 2018, the TOBIN-led BIA Innovator Campus has been given the go-ahead in Athenry. TOBIN worked closely with BIA Innovator Campus CLG Board in order to deliver the highest quality of service in architectural and engineering design services, with an emphasis on health and safety.
Three units will be built on the site: BIA Obair/Eolas, comprising of food labs and office space, H.P.S.U. (High Potential Start-Up) and Growth Incubation, both of which will contain areas for production, storage and chilling of food, as well as commercial space for business development. On its completion, the campus will operate as a Centre of Excellence, offering support at all stages of development in the food industry, with an anticipated growth of over 360 jobs in the West of Ireland.
