This project consisted of the demolition of the two existing ‘Marine View’ two-storey apartment blocks and the construction of a new five-storey apartment block and ancillary structures including a refuse compound, bicycle shed and comms room. The site is located on Quincentennial Drive adjacent to the promenade in Salthill.
The building consists of 18 apartment units for short-term let comprising of 16 two-bedroom, 1 three-bedroom unit and 1 one-bedroom units.
The building has a double mono-pitch roof design, several balconies on each floor and a new car-parking arrangement and associated landscaping to the front of the site.
The structure consists of precast concrete hollowcore floors on loadbearing masonry walls from ground floor to fourth floor. The fourth floor consists of a structural steel framed penthouse with feature cladding.
