This development consisted of the construction of 40 no. housing units in total, including all site development works and the construction of 2 new entrances via the Headfort Grove/Headfort Park access road and the Blackthorn Grove development.
The units comprised 8 no. 2 bed apartments, 15 no. 2 bed 2 storey houses, 15 no. 3 bed 2 storey houses and 2 no. 4 bed 2 storey houses. A unique factor of the project was the existing stream running through the development, which required a section 50 application to the OPW. TOBIN liaised directly with the OPW and carried out this section 50 application, which was passed first time.
Another unique element of this development was the enabling works that were installed. This was to facilitate future flood relief works that may be carried out, and to avoid any potential interruptions to this new estate and its residents.
