John joined TOBIN Consulting Engineers in 2021, having previously worked as a Project Manager for Engineering consultancies in Dubai and Vancouver. John holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, is a Chartered Engineer and a Project Management Professional (PMP)®. He has extensive experience in project management, construction delivery, contract administration and structural / bridge design.

Sport plays a significant role in John’s life, he holds a black belt in Judo, is an avid snooker and 8-ball pool player, has summitted numerous mountains across five continents, and enjoys wilderness hiking and camping. John is first and foremost a family man and loves nothing more than spending time with his two young children.
