Ryan graduated as a Civil Engineer from the University of Natal in South Africa in 1998. He worked as a site engineer for 5 years on various international projects before moving into design and project management, initially working for a consulting firm for 5 years and then co-founded and ran a consulting firm for 14 years. He has broad experience of civils in both the public and private sectors.

Ryan relocated to Ireland and has joined the Building and Infrastructure team as a Senior Engineer in the Galway Office.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing guitar, woodwork and exploring the natural and cultural beauty of Ireland with his wife and two children.
