Siobhán joined the Environment and Planning (E&P) division of TOBIN Consulting Engineers in 2004, having previously worked in the Exploration and Mining Division (EMD) of the (then) Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources.
Siobhán holds an Honours Degree in Natural Sciences and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering, both from Trinity College Dublin. She completed an MSc. in Applied Hydrogeology in Newcastle University and, more recently, Diplomas in Business Management (IMI) and Corporate Governance (CGI), in addition to a Cert. in ESG. Siobhán was also awarded the title of Professional Geologist (P.Geo) from the Institute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI).
As Operations Director of the E&P division, Siobhán is responsible for the management and co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams consisting of experienced planners, scientists and engineers who provide environmental and planning expertise for the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructural projects including energy transmission projects, wind and solar energy projects, residential and commercial developments, waste management facilities, mines and quarries. In addition to her significant experience in the management of planning applications (including S.I.D.), feasibility studies, planning and environmental considerations reports and environmental impact assessment reports (EIARs), Siobhán also co-ordinates and participates in public consultations events.
A current council member, and former President (2014-2016), of the Irish Mining and Quarrying Society (IMQS), Siobhán is also an active member of industry associations including Geoscience Ireland, the IGI and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (Irish Group) (IAH). Siobhán takes her mind off work through a combination of outdoor pursuits that include visits to the Phoenix Park in Dublin or Dún an Rí Forest Park in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
